Our Aim
We in St Malachy’s P.S are committed to providing a caring, supportive, stimulating and safe environment where each child is valued for his or her unique talents and abilities.
We aim to provide high quality, rounded education for all our pupils, so that they develop their full uniqueness and potential in a climate of joy, freedom, respect, challenge, co-operation and celebration.
As a Rights respecting school we believe that:
“Education must develop every child’s personality, talents and abilities to the full. It must encourage the child’s respect for human rights, as well as respect for their parents, their own and other cultures and the environment.”
We aim to promote the inclusive ethos of Catholic Education which is respectful of, and engages with people of all beliefs and encourages the religious development of all in their own faith.
We are a caring school, where everyone is recognised, welcomed, respected, valued and cherished. We encourage our pupils to develop qualities such as self-esteem, co-operation, dignity and mutual respect. Our motto ‘Preparing today’s children for tomorrow’s world’ reflects our commitment to preparing our pupils to lead fulfilling and purposeful lives.
